Operating Principle:

The portable pendulum friction coefficient tester is based on the principle of impact strength. During operation, the pendulum rotates around a vertical axis. The upper end of the pendulum is fitted with a rubber slider of specific hardness and elasticity. When in an unbalanced position, the upper end of the pendulum strikes the polished surface at a constant speed. The distance the pendulum travels after striking the polished surface depends on the frictional resistance of the surface. The anti-slip value is approximately 100 times the friction coefficient and can be read directly from the apparent scale.
